IV Therapy in Atlanta
Fluids, vitamins, and nutrients delivered directly to your bloodstream, inside a physician-led clinical setting. We test before we treat, and we will tell you plainly when a drip is not the right tool for what you want.

Is This You?
You train hard and want to recover faster. You are run-down, traveling, or fighting something off. You have read about NAD+, glutathione, or vitamin C drips and want to know what is real and what is marketing. Or your labs show a deficiency that pills have not fixed.
IV therapy can help with some of that. It is not a cure-all, and anyone who tells you it is has something to sell. Here is the honest version, from a sports medicine practice rather than a pop-up counter.
How IV Therapy Actually Works
IV therapy infuses a sterile solution, usually saline, along with selected vitamins, minerals, or antioxidants directly into a vein. Because it bypasses your digestive tract, close to 100 percent of what is in the bag reaches your bloodstream. That is a real advantage over pills, where absorption depends on your gut, your food, and your metabolism.
Here is the part most Atlanta IV pages leave out. A higher level in your blood does not automatically mean a better result in your body. If you are already well nourished, your body simply clears the excess. Water-soluble vitamins like C and the B group are largely passed in your urine. More in the vein is not the same as more benefit in the tissue.
So the two things IV therapy does genuinely well are rehydration when you are truly dehydrated, and correcting a documented deficiency that oral intake is not fixing. For a healthy person with a balanced diet, water and oral vitamins are usually cheaper, safer, and enough. We would rather tell you that than sell you a drip you do not need.

IV or Oral? When Each Makes Sense

IV can be the better tool
when you are genuinely dehydrated from illness, heat, or hard exertion, when your gut is not absorbing well, when you cannot keep things down, or when a lab-documented deficiency is not responding to oral supplements. In those cases the speed and the near-complete absorption matter.

Oral is usually enough
when you are a healthy, well-nourished adult looking for general energy or wellness. Water and oral vitamins are cheaper, safer, and just as effective for that. If that is your situation, we will say so, and we will not talk you into a standing membership you do not need.
Who Benefits Most from IV Therapy
IV therapy tends to help most when there is a real, identifiable reason for it. That includes recovering from illness with vomiting or diarrhea, dehydration from heat or heavy exertion, poor absorption from a gut condition, a lab-documented deficiency that oral supplements are not correcting, or the days around a demanding training block or travel schedule when rehydration genuinely matters.
It tends to help least, and is often unnecessary, when you are already healthy, hydrated, and eating well. In that case the honest answer is that a drip is unlikely to make you feel meaningfully different, and we will tell you so rather than sell you a series.
Our IV Menu in Atlanta
Each therapy is offered with a clear-eyed view of what the current evidence does and does not show. Your protocol is guided by your history, your medications, and, where relevant, your labs.
NAD+ IV
A coenzyme involved in cellular energy metabolism, offered for energy and recovery support. The human evidence for anti-aging or wellness benefit from IV NAD+ is limited and still emerging, and infused NAD+ may raise blood levels more than cellular levels. We are candid about that.

Glutathione IV
A coenzyme involved in cellular energy metabolism, offered for energy and recovery support. The human evidence for anti-aging or wellness benefit from IV NAD+ is limited and still emerging, and infused NAD+ may raise blood levels more than cellular levels. We are candid about that.

ethylene Blue IV
A coenzyme involved in cellular energy metabolism, offered for energy and recovery support. The human evidence for anti-aging or wellness benefit from IV NAD+ is limited and still emerging, and infused NAD+ may raise blood levels more than cellular levels. We are candid about that.

Rapid Reboot IV Push
A coenzyme involved in cellular energy metabolism, offered for energy and recovery support. The human evidence for anti-aging or wellness benefit from IV NAD+ is limited and still emerging, and infused NAD+ may raise blood levels more than cellular levels. We are candid about that.

Vitamin C IV
A coenzyme involved in cellular energy metabolism, offered for energy and recovery support. The human evidence for anti-aging or wellness benefit from IV NAD+ is limited and still emerging, and infused NAD+ may raise blood levels more than cellular levels. We are candid about that.

IV Therapy in a Sports Medicine Context
Paragon is a sports and regenerative medicine practice, so athletes and active people are much of who we see. After heavy training, competition, or a hard travel schedule, rapid rehydration and electrolyte replacement are legitimate uses of IV fluids, and that is where the honest benefit sits.
What we will not tell you is that a drip enhances performance or replaces the fundamentals. Sleep, fueling, and training load do the heavy lifting. IV therapy is a recovery tool that fits alongside our broader program, including [PRP](/prp-therapy) and [regenerative treatments](/bone-marrow-aspirate-concentrate-bmac-therapy), not a shortcut around them.

We Measure, We Do Not Guess
The reason our IV therapy looks different from a menu on a wall is that we treat it as medicine, not a beverage. Where it matters, your plan is informed by your history, your medications, and objective data, whether that is bloodwork, or the same measurement tools we use across the practice, from InBody composition to Metabolic Breath Analysis.
That is the whole idea behind how we work: nothing is assumed, and what can be measured, is. It also means we are comfortable telling you when the honest recommendation is to skip the drip and fix the underlying thing instead.
What the Evidence Supports, and What It Does Not
We think you deserve the honest version before you sit in the chair.
Well supported
IV achieves near-total absorption and bypasses the gut. IV rapidly corrects genuine dehydration. IV can correct a lab-documented deficiency when oral intake is not working.
Not well supported
boosting energy, immunity, or mood in a healthy person; detoxing or flushing toxins, which your liver and kidneys already do; anti-aging or longevity from NAD+; skin brightening from IV glutathione; curing hangovers, preventing illness, or enhancing athletic performance beyond simple rehydration.
Most wellness IV claims outrun the data. That is not a reason to avoid IV therapy. It is a reason to use it for what it is good at, with a provider who knows the difference.
What to Expect: Your Visit, Step by Step
Assessment
We start with your goals, history, and current medications. This is where we decide whether IV therapy fits, or whether something else would serve you better.
Screening
We check for the conditions and interactions that make IV therapy inappropriate, and order or review labs where relevant, such as G6PD before high-dose vitamin C.
The session
Your infusion is placed with sterile technique and vetted, injectable-grade product, and delivered at a controlled rate while you rest comfortably.
After
Most people return to their day right away. We tell you honestly what to expect, including normal effects like flushing with certain infusions.
